Sync Slack with Revo to turn chats into tasks and get real-time project updates.
What It Is
Revo connects to your Slack workspace to read messages, threads, and files—then turns conversations into searchable, structured intelligence.
What It Unlocks
- Search your entire Slack history using natural language
- Auto-detect action items, decisions, and feedback from channels
- Cross-reference Slack discussions with Jira issues, meetings, and docs
- Trigger workflows based on Slack events in specific channels
- Post automated summaries back to Slack channels
How to Use It for Emails
When drafting email replies, Revo automatically pulls relevant Slack context:
- "Customer X asked about feature Y" → Revo searches #product-feedback and #customer-success for related discussions
- "What's the status on project Z?" → Revo checks #engineering and project channels for updates
- Includes source links in draft so you can verify context
Result: Emails grounded in real team discussions, not guesses.
How to Use It from Chat
Ask questions directly in Revo:
- "What did the team say about feature X in Slack last week?"
- "Show me all messages mentioning 'login bug' from #engineering"
- "Summarize #customer-feedback from yesterday"
- "What action items came from #standup this morning?"
Revo searches across all connected channels and delivers answers with message links.
How to Use It in Workflows
Trigger workflows FROM Slack:
- New message in #user-feedback → Analyze sentiment → Create Jira ticket
- Message contains "bug" → Pull context from thread → Draft Jira ticket → Post preview to Slack for approval
- New member joins #product-team → Trigger onboarding workflow → Send welcome message with key docs and context links
Post results TO Slack:
- Weekly competitor analysis → Post summary to #product
- End-of-sprint recap → Share in #team-updates
- Workflow completion → "Your report is ready: [link]"
Pro Tip: Invite the Revo bot to any channel you want it to access—it respects Slack permissions automatically.
How to Add Revo to Slack
Revo connects to Slack from inside your Revo account — there's no separate "Add to Slack" button to hunt for. Setup takes about a minute:
- Sign up for a free Revo account at revo.ai.
- Complete the quick onboarding so Revo can learn your workspace.
- In Revo, go to Settings → Integrations.
- Select Slack and click Connect.
- Approve the permissions on the Slack authorization screen, then invite the Revo bot to any channel you want it to access. Revo automatically respects your existing Slack permissions.
Once connected, Revo starts turning your Slack conversations into searchable, structured knowledge right away.
How Revo's AI Works
Revo is powered by a large language model (LLM). When you @mention Revo or ask it a question in Slack, Revo interprets your request, searches across your connected tools and Slack history, and generates a response — answering questions, drafting replies and summaries, capturing action items, and running workflows in connected apps like Jira, Linear, and Notion.
AI Disclaimer: Because Revo is powered by AI, its responses and generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Revo includes source links wherever possible so you can verify the original message. Always review AI-generated content — especially drafts, summaries, and any action taken in a connected tool — before relying on or sending it.
